Six Areas We Can Help With

Select a route below to explore it in detail — each page covers eligibility, the process, fees and common questions.

Sponsorship Responsibilities

With a Licence Comes Duty

A sponsor licence isn't just a permission — it's an ongoing set of obligations. Falling short can cost you the licence, and your workers their status.

  • Record-keeping duties
  • Reporting obligations
  • Right to work checks
  • Monitoring attendance
  • Cooperation with Home Office
  • Renewals & changes
Review Your Compliance

Compliance is cheaper than reaction

Most licence problems don't start with bad intentions — they start with missed reporting deadlines, incomplete records, or key personnel leaving without updates. A modest investment in getting your systems right is far cheaper than responding to a Home Office investigation.

If you've already received a compliance visit or warning, contact us promptly. Early, honest engagement is almost always better than hoping it resolves itself.

FAQs

Business Immigration Questions

Does my business qualify for a sponsor licence?
Eligibility depends on factors including your business's genuineness, trading history and ability to meet sponsorship duties. The requirements are more manageable than many employers fear — but an honest assessment first avoids wasted fees and refused applications.
Which route should I use — Skilled Worker, Global Mobility or something else?
It depends on who you're bringing to the UK and why. Skilled Worker suits long-term hires with a permanent role; Global Business Mobility suits transfers and expansion; founder and talent routes suit entrepreneurs and exceptional individuals. A consultation helps you compare options properly.
Can small businesses sponsor workers?
Yes — there's no minimum size requirement for a sponsor licence. What matters is that your business is genuine, trading and able to carry the sponsorship duties. We work with businesses of all sizes, from first-time sponsors to established HR teams.
What are the ongoing duties of a sponsor?
Sponsors must keep records, report specific events (such as absences or contract changes), monitor workers' attendance and cooperate with the Home Office. These duties are ongoing, and falling short can endanger your licence — which is why we emphasise sustainable systems, not just the initial application.
Is the Start-up visa still available?
No — the Start-up route closed to new applicants in 2023. People already on the route can still be supported, and the Innovator Founder visa has replaced the old Innovator route for new entrepreneur applicants. See our dedicated Start-up (Legacy) and Innovator Founder pages for details.
Can you help if our licence is at risk?
Possibly — it depends on the situation. If you've had a compliance visit, received a warning, or had action taken against your licence, contact us promptly. Early, honest engagement with problems usually offers more options than waiting.
